Emberfall Saga
★★★★☆ 4.4
Emberfall Saga is a proper role-playing game that respects the small screen. Combat is turn-based, you build a party of four, and the class synergies open up more than I expected a few hours in. Positioning and turn order genuinely matter.
The writing is better than most mobile RPGs bother with. Characters have opinions, side quests occasionally surprise you, and the world doesn't feel like a checklist. It's not Baldur's Gate, but it clearly knows what it's borrowing from.
Progression is generous without being mindless. You'll grind a little, but never to a brutal degree, and the gear system stays readable throughout.
What we liked
- Tactical turn-based party combat
- Writing that's actually worth reading
- Fair progression without grind walls
